This kaiser as all kaisers were ahead of its time. In 1948 they made this car look like a 55! The body is in pretty solid, sound condition. There may be a few dents, some rust (mainly on the hood). The interior has seen better days. The dash appears to be complete with heat and air conditioning. The passenger rear window is cracked, front driver’s side window has small crack, but still operates, passenger side vent window cracked, stock radio. Shows 58252 miles. All four tires are holding air.

There are many parts in the trunk including: radiator, visors, jack, spare tires, brake parts, couple trim pieces, distributor. The undercarriage of this car appears to be in decent condition. The engine is in unknown condition. It would be assumed that because of its age, and has not been run in a long time that the engine should be dismantled before trying to start or run. We bought this car back in 2008, and never did anything with it. It has been in indoor storage since. This car would be a great project for a nice restoration. The reason that we are selling this car is because we are just leaning out our collection of project cars. 1929 Dodge Sedan http://legendsandclassics.com/index.php?action=listingview&listingID=62 NjItMjAxMi0wNC0wMiAxMTozMTozNw== Full Description: For sale is a 1929 Dodge. The pictures do no justice for this original car. The body is not in that bad of shape. The interior needs some work. The engine along with the transmission, we were told is in running condition. The brakes are hydraulic. This original car is an excellent platform for a full restoration project. 1928 Pontiac Coupe http://legendsandclassics.com/index.php?action=listingview&listingID=18 MTgtMjAxMi0wMi0xNSAxNzowNjoxNw== Full Description:
This car was purchased from John McMullen’s collection a few years ago. It has been professionally restored and appears to be relatively low-mileage. It has had the normal maintenance and minor repairs to keep it a practical driver. It has been in heated storage and occasionally started and ran.

Pontiac was a car designed for the low-priced six cylinder market and was an instant success. The car was far advanced over the four cylinder model A Ford, being smoother and more comfortable. It weighs 20% more than the Ford and sold for 40% more in 1928.

The body work and paint are excellent as this was a museum car. The fabric top is correct looking with large landau irons. The chrome is in good-to-excellent condition and the cloth upholstery is very nice. The dash and instruments are presentable and we added auxiliary oil and temp gauges for practical driving. All glass is good. There is an accessory trunk mounted on the rear luggage rack.

The six-cylinder engine is 187 cubic inches and was rated at 40 HP. It has two separate cylinder heads front and rear, probably because one long head would be more subject to warping (being a flat head design). The distributor has automatic spark advance and there is a modern-looking “AC” fuel pump that runs off the camshaft. The engine runs smoothly and may be mostly original since the odometer shows 27k miles. The transmission is a 3-speed with conventional shift pattern.

The chassis has parallel leaf spring suspension front and rear with lever-action shocks. The wood spoke wheels have 4.75-5.00 x 20 Lester tires. There are 4-wheel mechanical brakes which work well. The wheel base is 110”, 6 ½” which is longer than a model A. This plus the additional weight account for the smoother ride.

This car is a rather unique vehicle that you don’t see every day. It is a cut above the Four-Cylinder cars for about the same investment and a very practical car for touring and parades. All-in-all, this is an excellent hobby car that will turn a few heads going down the road. 1917 Overland Touring Car http://legendsandclassics.com/index.php?action=listingview&listingID=4 NC0yMDEyLTAyLTE0IDE3OjQxOjQ2 Full Description: We bought This 1917 Overland at an auction in 2007. This truck has a Nissan 230hp turbo diesel motor. Only has 61,659 miles. For a diesel, that is such a very low amount of miles!! It has a 6 speed manual transmission. has an air type suspension, and air/hydraulic brake system. The 22.5 tires are in excellent condition and shows very low miles on them and will last quite a long time still. This is a great RV for hauling race cars to go to the tracks, or to haul your 5th wheel camper trailer, and also a great commercial vehicle! You can haul in class, and have a nice comfortable ride!!

It is classified as a class 7(26,001-33,000 lbs). Tandem axles. The tilt forward cab is in great shape and has a CB radio, sony tape player. It has a comfy sleeper with a porta potty. The nice stainless tool boxes are great for storage for just about anything. The truck is also equiped with two gas tanks for those long trips.

The previous owner, in Florida had only used this truck to tow a 36' Newmar 5th wheel. He only sold it because he sold his 5th wheel and no longer needed it. We purchased this truck back in July of 2007. We picked it up in Florida and drove it back home to Michigan. We have never had the need to use this truck so we just stored it in a heated building year round. As all of our other vehicles, we would start this truck every few months to keep it fresh. We also built a custom made, extremely heavy duty hitch with a pintle, and a couple different size balls, which is included in the sale. The pictures show what you get with the truck. We do also have the owners manuals for this truck.

Sold, went to Lancaster, TX 1934 Ford Phaeton http://legendsandclassics.com/index.php?action=listingview&listingID=22 MjItMjAxMS0xMS0wNyAxMjoxMDowMQ== Full Description: very nice 34 ford phaeton. It appears to be mostly original and has been in heated storage and mechanically maintained ever since. It has 27k miles on the odometer and drives like new.

The body appears to have been repainted at some time, there are no major dents in the metal, chrome is in great shape. There are minor touch-ups in the paint due to stone chips. The red leather interior is near mint and the chrome is very good. The white convertible top is in good shape and operates well. The plastic below the parking lights is cracked, a common Eldorado problem. Climate control works but needs a/c recharged.

The 500 cubic inch v8 was only available in the Eldorado this year. It runs flawlessly with no major leaks and the transmission works perfectly. The front wheel drive axle shafts are tight and the boots are in tact.

The suspension and steering appear factory-tight and the front disk brakes are good. The rear drum brakes have new wheel cylinders and shoes and the entire system flushed and fresh brake fluid installed.

This car is an exceptionally well-preserved example of the legendary Eldorado convertible. The history is unknown but the rust-free body and originally somewhat faded paint suggests that it was probably a southern or western car. It has been in heated storage since the purchase and only briefly driven. We are reducing our collection, and this one needs a new home.

A Cadillac convertible is the ultimate cruiser and an El Dorado would be the best. However our research shows the only El Dorado model from 1967-1970 was a hard top. So the only available convertible was the Deville. The massive grille, beautiful body lines, and suggestion of rear fins mark it as a classic Cadillac.

The body appears rust-free with no evidence of any major repairs, but was repainted some time in its life. The chrome is all good-to-excellent with the only flaw a slight distortion on the left front bumper. The leather upholstery has no rips, but the driver’s door panel wood grain insert is faded and the window weather stripping also degraded. This may be due to the climate the car was originally exposed to. The convertible top is in good condition except for tuck marks where the glass rear window is sewn in. The top operates properly. All power accessories function with the exception that the rear passenger window doesn’t operate from the drivers’ control. It works fine from its own control button.

The 472 cubic engine was an all-new design in 1968. It is a typical over-engineered Cadillac motor and had the largest main bearings in the industry at 3 ¼”. This design eventually grew to 500 cubic inches and is generally considered bulletproof. It runs very smooth. The transmission is the classic GM Turbo 400 which mean parts and service are readily available. There are one or two minor drips from the power train and the tail pipe has some rust perforation.

This is an affordable classic that is instantly recognized as a Cadillac. With relatively low mileage it should be easily maintainable and can only go up in value. There aren’t that many 40 year old Caddy Convertibles around, so this one is one to buy and keep.

Sold, went to Rena, Norway 1964 Cadillac Coupe (aqua) http://legendsandclassics.com/index.php?action=listingview&listingID=37 MzctMjAxMS0xMS0wNyAxMjowNjo0OQ== Full Description: Very nice original low-mileage car you could drive to California tomorrow.

Sold, went to Roseville, MI 1949 International KB-5 2 ton truck http://legendsandclassics.com/index.php?action=listingview&listingID=28 MjgtMjAxMS0xMS0wNyAxMjowNTo1OQ== Full Description:
This truck was purchased a little over a year ago with the intention of creating a nostalgia oil company truck. It was disassembled to the bare frame which was blasted and painted. The sheet metal was professionally repaired and primed, and sub-assemblies such as the cowl vent mechanism, pedal linkage and window regulators were rebuilt. Unforeseen circumstances have made continuing the restoration impractical so we are now offering it as a project vehicle.

International began building trucks in 1907 when the International Harvester Company (IHC) branched out from building farm equipment to motor vehicles. The “KB” series evolved from the “K” series and was produced from 1947-1949. The ruggedness of the trucks combined with tasteful styling made them very popular.

The sheet metal has been restored and metal-finished. We have assembled the truck to a degree for easy transportation, and have extensive documentation and pictures to aid in completion. There is a complete rubber and weather stripping kit included and new cab mounts and clips for the stainless steel grille strips. The original leather seat is in excellent condition.

The engine is the “green diamond” 233 cubic inch 6 cylinder flathead and is original. Compression is good on all cylinders and oil pressure is normal. It runs smoothly, leading us to believe the odometer reading of 34,000 miles is correct. The entire fuel system from tank to carburetor has been cleaned and rebuilt. The carburetor is a Rochester model B, probably a parts store replacement.

The 4-speed transmission and rear axle are in good operating condition and show no leaks. The brakes have been disassembled, cleaned and painted. The shoes are usable but the wheel cylinders need rebuilding. There is a NOS gas tank sending unit. A shop manual and a parts source catalog are included.

This is an excellent project truck for someone that wants something different. All the major work has been done and almost all the parts needed are included. Besides an oil company truck, it could be made into a wrecker or better yet a ramp truck, which would be eye-catching with an antique car on it. It is a re-creation of a late 20's-early 30's hot rod, and like those cars, it is a mixture of Model T parts and aftermarket upgrades. It has been in heated storage and maintained for drivability since acquisition. We have too many cars and this one has been fun to drive, but reluctantly for sale.

In this era Model T’s were plentiful and cheap. There was a huge supply of “speed equipment” available and an ambitious young man could build a hot rod that compared favorably with much more expensive cars.

Titled 1913, the chassis and firewall are early model T. The body has been removed to save weight-just like the original speedsters. The fenders, running boards and bucket seats appear to be reproductions. The aluminum hood has leather hold down straps.

There is an abundance of vintage upgrades, and whether original or reproductions is unknown. The dramatic V-shaped radiator is “Livingston” with a Boyce Moto-meter. The acetylene headlights and cowl lights are marked “E&J”. There is a Prestolite Acetylene tank under the running board, but the system is for looks only. Other brass parts abound- an electric “Sonora” horn, a “Scientific” fire extinguisher, a huge running board mounted search light and brass tire and fuel pumps.

Mechanical improvements include rocky mountain brakes and buffalo wire wheels with 30x3 1.5 tires. The engine runs well and appears stock except for an accessory water pump and auxiliary oiling. The transmission has new bands and a “Warford” 2-speed auxiliary transmission which improves performance immensely. There is a starter and no generator, but a 12-volt battery allows a lot of driving in between charges.

Other interesting features include a beautiful riveted copper gas tank and a small sheet metal trunk. There is also a Stewart-Warner speedometer, 8-day clock and a mechanical Klaxon horn.

For the enthusiast who wants a unique and eye-catching car, this will stand out in a sea of model T’s. They were using it as an advertising medium and parade vehicle. Its previous history is unknown, but it was probably a farm truck used a few times a year. Most of these ended up rusting away behind the barn. Somehow this one escaped. It has been in heated storage since we acquired it, and occasionally started and driven short distances. We are now reducing collection, this needs a good home.

Except for a repaint, the truck appears totally original. The only rust to be seen is a slight dusting on the underside of the floorboards and no major bodywork is evident. There are 2 lube stickers on the door jamb, one dated 1945 with 2,901 miles, and one with 8,278 miles but no date. This indicated the odometer reading of 11,857 is probably true.

The interior is original and very good. The seat leather is worn but not ripped and the fiberboard headliner is near perfect. The driver’s window is cracked but the remainder of the glass is good. The wiring is original, the instrument panel nice, and there is an original owners manual in the glove compartment. There is a “signal-stat” turn signal system installed.

The engine runs amazingly well, and you have to keep reminding yourself that this is a 70 year old flathead v8. The 4 speed transmission works perfectly and everything appears original. There are a couple of typical small drips but no major leaks. Since we have hardly driven this truck, a thorough inspection of the braking system should be done.

The stake bed is in good condition with the exception of one plank chipped on the end. The undercarriage is solid and reinforces the idea that this truck didn’t sit out in the weather much. The tires are Firestone 32x6 front (original?) and U.S. Royal 7.50-20 rear.

An original, preserved vehicle like this is a once-in-a-lifetime find and a unique addition to any collection. It may have been repainted at some time, but it is very factory appearing. The power convertible top works well but has a 1” repaired tear and the rear window needs re-stitching. The interior is good except for the driver’s seat which has some wear and a small ½” x 2-1/2” patch at the top. Lights, gauges and the original radio all work and the owner’s manual is included. It had a recent tune-up including carburetor synchronization, which is important on the 4 carb engines. The 2 speed powerglide transmission works perfectly and does not leak.

The front suspension has been recently rebuilt an the brakes have been serviced and work perfectly. The rear suspension s “2nd generation” (similar to Corvette) which replaced the early-style swing axles and resulted in much superior handling. The radial P185/80 R13 tires seem a perfect match for the suspension and are about 40% worn.

This car is eye-catching, easy to drive with the automatic transmission, and just plain fun. It makes for a wonderful summer cruiser with the top down and seats four people easily. The air-cooled engine won’t overheat and gas mileage is surprisingly good, especially if you can resist kicking in all four carbs under full throttle! All-In-All, a very affordable semi-classc that’s not often seen, but somehow recognized by almost everyone! 1950 Ford F1 Pickup http://legendsandclassics.com/index.php?action=listingview&listingID=47 NDctMjAxMS0xMS0wNyAxMTo1Njo0Nw== Full Description: This 1950 Ford F1 is a gorgeous example of a restoration project. It has been in heated storage and mechanically maintained, and the odometer shows a reportedly actual 26k miles. Even the spare-tire well looks perfect. It has possibly been repainted or at least touched up, but is very factory appearing. The chrome is near perfect and the interior is very good.

The 300 hp 365 cubic engine runs like new, with a rebuilt carburetor. It has minor drips but no real leaks. It has been in heated storage since. It is a strikingly beautiful car that runs and drives well.

The body exterior is near flawless with the exception of a small ding in the hood and a curb dent in the very underside of the right fender in the front. The dent is only visible from underneath. The Bonnet(hood) and Boot(trunk) are aluminum, along with doors, making it one of the desirable “alloy-panel” cars. The re lacquer paint is excellent along with the chrome. Underneath and in the trunk there is evidence of factory style replacement panels welded or riveted in. The fenders show no sign of any panel replacement. The black leather interior, the convertible top and the side curtains appear as new. A tonneau cover is also included.

The double overhead cam 3-1/2 liter engine runs very well, with dual S.U. side draft carburetors and factory electric fuel pump. This engine is legendary, and a plaque on the dash attests that “this is an exact replica of the car that ran 132.6 mph. at Jabbeke, Belgium, 30 May 1949.” The 4-speed transmission operates properly and there is one slight drip, but no major leaks. A previous owner apparently stripped a spark plug hole with the result being the aforementioned ding in the hood (from the inside). The plug hole has been properly repaired.

Hoist inspection shows the frame solid and painted, with no evidence of patching. The suspension and steering are factory-tight, with Koni shocks on the front and Girlings on the rear. The brakes have been serviced all around and the knock-off wire wheels are in perfect condition. The electrical system has two 6 volt batteries (recently replaced) in series for 12 volts. This is typical in British cars, but 12 volt systems were rare in 1951, and add to the reliability.

A Jaguar expert who examined the car commented that it is a professional frame-off restoration, but not “no-expenses spared.” This means it is a nice presentable car for many thousands less than an over-the-top trailer queen. Touring with the top down and that wonderful exhaust note in your ear is the essence of British sports cars and this one is guaranteed to draw many admiring glances. 1948 Reo Clown bus http://legendsandclassics.com/index.php?action=listingview&listingID=26 MjYtMjAxMS0xMS0wNyAxMTo0Nzo1NQ== Full Description: This is our Cruiser! With tasteful, restrained styling by PININFARINA of Italy and total State-of-the-art technology, it is an impressive automobile even today. This 1988 roadster cost over $56,000 new and is in overall excellent condition.

The front wheel drive, full independent suspension chassis was built in Detroit, then shipped to Turin, Italy where PININFARINA did the coachwork. Then it was shipped back to Detroit for power train work and final assembly. Fit and finish on the body is excellent, with only a few freckles in the paint which have been touched up. The interior is tan leather with Recaro bucket seats and the full electronic instrumentation and trip computer all work. The sound system is Delco/Bose with built-in cassette player and a 12-cd changer in the trunk. The removable hardtop is aluminum with a soft convertible top under the boot.

The Cadillac 4.1 liter pushrod engine has tuned-port electronic fuel injection and runs like new. The 4 speed automatic transmission functions perfectly and no leaks have been seen anywhere. The handling is decidedly sporty with Michelin 225/60 R15 tires mounted on alloy wheels. 4-wheel disks and anti-lock brakes are standard equipment on Allantes.

This car is obviously full-power everything and has so many nice features that we are still discovering new ones! The original owner’s manual and window sticker are still with the car, along with a videotape on the removable hardtop operation.

The timeless styling and many features it has makes this car seem much newer than it is. It is a true luxury tourer that has always been professionally maintained and can be driven anywhere. Service is available at any Cadillac dealer and such expenses are undoubtedly less than Mercedes. All-in-all, a sporty semi-classic at a fraction of the cost of the original. 1985 Cadillac El Dorado http://legendsandclassics.com/index.php?action=listingview&listingID=44 NDQtMjAxMS0xMC0yMCAxMzowNjo0OA== Full Description: Very low original miles, only 32k miles on this nice daily driver. 1976 Mercedes 450 SL http://legendsandclassics.com/index.php?action=listingview&listingID=43 NDMtMjAxMS0xMC0yMCAxMzowNjowNA== Full Description: This 1976 Mercedes 450 SL Roadster has been in heated storage for several years and hardly driven. We have too many cars and would like to see this one go to a good home. It is a solid car that drives beautifully but may need a little TLC.

The body is pretty much rust-free except inside the trunk. This was noticed when we pulled the fuel tank to clean it. It is not normally visible and we treated the area with rust-resistant pant when we re-installed the tank. The paint, chrome and glass on the body are all very good and the interior is in nice shape. The trunk emblem says “560” which is incorrect. It has custom Nardi Wheels.

The 4.5 Liter overhead-cam v8 runs nicely with Bosch Mechanical fuel injection. A new fuel pump was installed recently and the fuel lines and filter were cleaned and flushed when we cleaned the fuel tank. The 3-speed automatic transmission works smoothly. The 4-wheel independent suspension appears tight and disc brakes all around stop the car nicely.

The classic Mercedes looks good with the removable “Pagoda” top on, and even better as a roadster with the top off. Although over 30 years old, this Mercedes seems more modern in styling and performance than other cars of that era. We are presently tinkering with the lights and power windows which need some work-typical of cars that aren’t being driven enough. This one needs a new owner to appreciate and care for it.
